Full Time Woodworker and Steel Job Description

​Job Summary:

BCD is looking for a Full-Time Woodworker to join our team of metal fabricators, drafters, and designers, in our Austin, TX shop. The applicant should be a skilled maker with advanced woodshop experience and skills with a strong work-ethic, who can thrive in a collaborative work environment. As a metal fabrication company, we work mostly with metal, but many of our pieces include a wood element. The applicant would finish the custom pieces with the clients desired look.

We work 10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday

Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have a minimum of three years of woodworking experience and 3 years of steel fabrication experience. Proficiency in working with power tools and hand tools commonly used in wood and steel fabrication. Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.

The candidate should be friendly, organized, motivated, and have a fine eye for details.

Responsibilities:

Complete custom furniture and architectural pieces to BCD standards

Work efficiently and safely.

Read plans and understand project scope.

Manage time and organize own schedule.

Ensure tools and machinery are maintained and running safely.

Benefits:

Salary starts at $23-$30 per hour, depending on skill level and experience.
